Presidency tasks APC spokespersons to publicize Tinubu’s policies

By Chesa Chesa

The Presidency has tasked the publicity secretaries of state chapters of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to intensify awareness and sensitization of policies and programmes of the President Bola Tinubu administration.

The special adviser to President Tinubu on information and strategy, Bayo Onanuga, gave the task during a one-day seminar organised by the Office of the National Publicity Secretary for APC Zonal and State Publicity Secretaries in Abuja.

He urged state publicity secretaries not to limit the policies of the present administration to broadcast and print media stations alone, but also digital platforms while defending government policies and programmes in their various States.

‎He further observed that the government could not work in isolation without the active contribution of the party spokesmen across the states.

“As our spokesmen at the state level, at the zonal level, your job is to help propagate what the government has been doing. Not just on the radio, TV, or newspapers, but also on digital platforms.

“You’re the soldiers on the streets. You must protect the government, to defend the government”, he said.

‎The acting national Chairman of the APC, Alhaji Ali Bukar-Dalori, explained that the seminar was organised to explore effective ways of communicating government achievements.

The National Publicity Secretary of the APC, Felix Morka, observed that Nigerians were yet to understand the policies of the Tinubu administration, making it necessary to mobilise the state spokesman for intense sensitisation campaigns.

‎The National Secretary of the party, Senator Ajibola Bashiru, also disclosed plans to make effective use of radio stations in enlightening Nigerians on government policies and programmes.
