The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) is going all out to ensure a secure Easter celebration across the country. Over 57,000 officers have been mobilized to fortify national security and guarantee a peaceful holiday period for citizens.

The strategic deployment, which includes specialized tactical units and intelligence operatives, spans all 36 states and the Federal Capital Territory (FCT). This proactive measure aims to address potential security threats and protect Critical National Assets and Infrastructure (CNAI).

High-traffic areas like churches, shopping complexes, and recreational centers will be under strict surveillance by visible patrols and undercover agents. Zonal Commanders, State Commandants, and Provosts of Colleges have been tasked with overseeing comprehensive security in their jurisdictions.

The NSCDC Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, emphasized the importance of vigilance and coordination with other security agencies. He urged parents and guardians to guide their children and ensure they don’t engage in activities that could disrupt public peace.

The Corps’ elite divisions, including the CG’s Special Intelligence Squad and the Special Female Squad, have been placed on maximum alert. These teams are prepared to act decisively against any individual or group attempting to undermine national stability.

The public is encouraged to stay alert, support security efforts, and report suspicious behavior to the nearest NSCDC post or security formation.
