The presidential train of Dr. Mohammed Hayatu-Deen, an aspiration on the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), received a major boost on Monday as he inaugurated 36 state coordinators in Abuja, marking a significant step toward expanding his nationwide political structure ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The event, held at his campaign office in Abuja, signalled a shift from consultations and stakeholder engagements to full-scale grassroots mobilisation under the platform of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
The newly appointed coordinators, drawn from all six geopolitical zones, are expected to lead mobilisation efforts in their respective states, deepen citizen engagement, and strengthen the campaign’s presence at the community level.
Speaking at the inauguration, Hayatu-Deen described the development as a critical milestone in building what he called a credible national alternative for Nigerians.
“What we are building is not just a campaign, it is a national movement anchored on competence, integrity, and results,” he said.
He added that the inauguration underscores his determination to take the campaign message to every part of the country, while supporting the ongoing membership registration drive of the ADC.
“As we continue to engage stakeholders across the country, this step allows us to reach every state, every community, and every Nigerian,” he stated.
Hayatu-Deen noted that the growing support for his ambition reflects a shift in public sentiment, with Nigerians increasingly demanding accountable and effective leadership.
“There is a clear mood across the country. Nigerians are looking for leadership that understands their struggles and is prepared to act,” he said.
He urged the coordinators to remain disciplined and focused on key national issues such as security, economic opportunity, and governance.
“Our message must remain consistent. Nigerians want safety, opportunity, and a government that works. Your role is to build trust at the grassroots,” he added.
Also speaking, the campaign’s National Coordinator, Usman Adamu Song, said the inauguration represents a transition from vision to structured political organisation.
“Each of you represents this movement in your state. We are here to organise, mobilise, and win. Every ward and local government must feel our presence,” he said.
He charged the coordinators to prioritise engagement and trust-building with citizens, stressing that sustainable political movements are built through direct connection with the people.
The move is expected to strengthen Hayatu-Deen’s campaign structure nationwide and accelerate mobilisation efforts as the 2027 elections approach.
