The All Progressives Congress (APC) National Campaign Council for the August 15 Osun State governorship election has expressed confidence that its candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), will emerge victorious at the polls.

The council reached the position after what it described as a fruitful meeting held on Monday at the Kano State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja, to fine-tune strategies ahead of the election.

According to the Deputy President of the Senate, Barau Jibrin, who serves as Secretary of the National Campaign Council, the meeting was chaired by Imo State Governor and Chairman of the Progressive Governors Forum, Hope Uzodimma.

Barau said the meeting was attended by members of the campaign council and its various subcommittees, underscoring the party’s resolve to secure victory in the election across all parts of the state.

He said the APC was optimistic that, with what he described as overwhelming support from the people across Osun State’s 30 local government areas, its governorship candidate, Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), would win the election being conducted by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on August 15.

The Deputy Senate President also expressed appreciation to the people of Osun State for what he described as their growing support and confidence in both the APC and its candidate, saying the party remained committed to delivering victory at the polls.
