The Director-General of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Presidential Campaign Council, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, has expressed confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s chances of securing re-election in 2027, saying the outcome of the election ultimately rests with Allah.
Yari spoke Saturday while joining President Tinubu to perform the lesser Hajj (Umrah) in Makkah, Saudi Arabia.
He said Tinubu had demonstrated the qualities of a leader by praying for Nigeria and its citizens, while acknowledging that leadership ultimately comes from God.
According to him, the President believes that only Allah has the power to determine who leads the country.
Yari recalled that Tinubu emerged victorious in the 2023 presidential election through divine intervention, expressing hope that the same would happen in 2027.
He, however, stressed the need for the APC to intensify its campaign and engage Nigerians by explaining the administration’s achievements and policies.
“We should go ahead with all the procedures we are undertaking to campaign, talk to people, convince them and show them what we have done and achieved,” he said.
The former Zamfara State governor expressed optimism that Nigerians would be convinced by the administration’s performance and support Tinubu’s re-election bid.
He said the APC would continue its mobilisation efforts while leaving the ultimate decision to Allah.
