Encouraged by the institutional strengthening and concerted efforts to transform the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria, making it viable to deliver its core objectives, Hon. Zakari Ilyiasu, ALGON National Financial Secretary, has commended the Partnership for Agile Governance and Climate Engagement (PACE) Initiative.
During a 2-Day workshop in Abuja, Hon. Ilyiasu stated that PACE’s significant interest has been impressive and is expected to transform the Association.
He noted that strengthening local governance through partnerships is a globally recognized best practice, which the ALGON National President, Exco, NEC, BOT, and Management are passionate about.
Hon. Ilyiasu commended the PACE initiative for its support, emphasizing that as leaders in their various LGAs, efforts will be made in unison to achieve the expected outcomes.
His attendance, alongside other notable Exco members at similar meetings and workshops, showcases the Association’s commitment to enhancing local government administration.
