From Ifeoma Ejiofor

The All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA) stakeholder, Chief Ben Obi has expressed concern over the sales of the party expression of interest and nomination forms in Abuja.

Chief Obi, ‘Igwe APGA’ as he is popularly known pointed out that that the developments with APGA nomination forms and screening being done in Abuja by APGA National Chairman Barr Sly Ezeokenwa is not a great move noting that majority of the aspirants are complaining.

Igwe APGA said emphatically that the purchase of House of Assembly nomination forms and other forms are supposed to be purchased in the state.

He pointed out that APGA has no spread outside Anambra and Aspirants facing this predicaments are mainly from the State even as he raised concerns that having the exercise in Abuja is very sensitive and thereby endangering the lives of Aspirants.

Igwe APGA alleged that the same thing happened in 2018 when the national chairman and his clique allegedly swindled APGA aspirants in Imo State.

“I do not want APGA to derail with the sale of nomination forms in Abuja. The National Chairman should as a matter of urgency relocate all Executive members involved in the process to Anambra State.

“The likes of Chief Ebuka Onunkwo (Ezeigbo) of Seahorse Group has left APGA because of the leadership inconsistency. This is a man that would have repositioned APGA but the National Chairman derailed.” He opined.

Chief Ben Obi who is one of the founding members of APGA noted that Gov Charles Soludo is not aware of the activities of the APGA National chairman in Abuja.

“APGA is Onye Aghana Nwanne Ya and we must maintain the ideology. All screenings and further matters relating to the nomination forms should henceforth be done in Awka in order to save aspirants from imminent dangers.

“APGA National Chairman should take this opportunity and act immediately to avoid the repeat of 2018 fraudulent APGA primaries

“I want to thank His Excellency Prof Soludo for his excellent jobs and also to bring to his attention the sufferings of aspirants in going to Abuja instead of having the primary activities in Anambra State.” Igwe APGA concluded.
