Covid-19: Lessons business owners should take home – Clairhub CEO, Okeke Sinclair

For Okeke Chibuikem Sinclair, founder and CEO of Clairhub, despite the negative side of Covid-19 pandemic which led to global lockdown, the situation opened the eye of the world to the necessity of digital business and indeed the inevitability of the use of cryptocurrency.

According to the serial entrepreneur with the lockdown in place, businesses shut down, and most people ordered essential things online and had it delivered to them in their homes. A greater percentage of such transactions were paid for by cashless means, which further underscore the inevitability of the digital economy.

“The devastations of Covid-19 this year has taught the world big lessons about businesses and one of the takeaway is that the future is digital. The world has entered fully into the digital age and most financial processes and transactions these days have been moved online, therefore, the digital economy will continue to grow and more people will embrace cryptos, especially given the volatility of other currencies,” Sinclair explained.

Continuing, the Clairhub CEO who cut his teeth in business when he joined a multi-level marketing company, said: “After the initial havoc, most businesses had adapted by moving online and we have seen the stock of cryptocurrency rising as the value of global currencies crashed.”

He further underscored the obvious truth of the Covid-19 pandemic: “Businesses that already digitised their operations fully or partially were able to absorb the shock of the shutdown of the global economy and the accompanying loss of jobs and personnel. And not surprisingly, it was such kind of businesses that adapted and survived the Covid-blight.”

He further added: “Because of the global lockdown, my business as a car seller was recorded a slump, but the crypto trading business continued seamlessly and undisrupted.”

Okeke, whose enterprise deals majorly in the “exchange of cryptocurrency for cash and sundry social media services,” explained why the crypto business is likely to boom in future.

The Clairhub boss, while encouraging everyone to embrace cryptos, however, cautioned those who are new to digital currencies to tread carefully.
