The All Progressives Congress [APC], Enugu state chapter, on Tuesday, inaugurated seven sub committees to work towards strengthening the weight of the party in the state
The inauguration which was held at the state party’s secretariat, came barely two weeks after the state ‘Contact and Mobilization committee, headed by the pioneer deputy chairman, Comrade A C. Ude ,was inaugurated by the state chairman, Ben Nwoye.
The inaugurated sub committees included Logistic and Finance, Publicity, Youth and Security, Strategy and Planning, as well as Welfare and Women mobilization .
The zonal contact and mobilization committees were equally inaugurated, with Hon Tony Ibekwe as chairman of Enugu West senatorial district while Prince Ikechukwu Oloto heads that of Enugu North senatorial district.
Comrade Ude, who stood in for the state chairman at the occassion, tasked members of the various sub committees to work assiduously hard, so that APC will be the party to beat in Enugu state in the 2023 general elections.
He noted that the October 31 Isi -Uzo constituency bye election will be the first litmus test to note the renewed strength of the party in Enugu state.
He pleaded with members of the various subcommittees to work closely with officials of APC in Isi Uzo council area, with a view of winning the election.
Hon Tony Ibekwe, who spoke on behalf of other members of the sub committees assured that they will work hard in ensuring that vibrancy is restored in the Enugu state chapter of the party, and position it to take over Enugu state in future elections.
