From Maurice Okafor,Enugu

The All Progressive Congress[APC], in Udi local government area of Enugu state, said it has suspended Flavour Osita Eze, the personal assistant to the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Geoffrey Onyeama from the party over allegations of usurpation of powers of the party executives and reckless embezzlement of resources meant for funding the party activities in Enugu state.

The Udi local government APC executives, led by Hon Osita Igwe, took the decision to suspend Mr Flavour Eze from the party, at an emergency meeting held at Udi local government area, stating that the action was a ratification of his earlier suspension by the executives of his ward at Agbudu Udi.

The Udi APC leadership also accused Eze of anti party activities, gross insubordination, disrespect for the party hierarchy and ceaseless and mindless usurpation of the party local government chairman’s responsibilities.

The motion for his suspension was moved by Hon Ikenga Cletus Ugwu, the organizing secretary of the party in Udi, and seconded by the party woman leader, Mrs Ann Ugwu, without any counter motion.

The executives advised party members and the general public henceforth not to transact any business on behalf of the party with the suspended Personal Assistant, until issues raised against him are resolved in due course.

Efforts made to get Eze’s reactions proved abortive as he could not respond to message forwarded to him on whatsaap for his reaction up to the time of filing this report.
