Committed towards ensuring that electricity and other social amenities reach rural communities, Kano state government has provided 500KVA capacity new brand transformer to Mariri – Gado community in kumbotso Local Government Area.
Presenting the new transformer to the community , the state Commissioner for Rural And Community Development, Dr. Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso said that the move is part of the state government determination to improve the living standard of people of the state.
Dr. Musa Iliyasu Kwankwaso, further expressed the readiness of Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje’s administration to ensure even development across the rural areas in the state through the provision of basic amenities.
The Commissioner also comemded the people of the state for their usual support and prayers to the present administration, urging them to maintain the tempo.
Earlier in their sperate remarks the chairman of Kumbotso Local Government Area, Alhaji Hassan Garba Kauye Marawa and the Managing Director, Rural Electricity Board, Alhaji Garba uba Danbayye Ajingi, both expressed their happiness for the gesture.
In his vote of thanks, the Village Head of Mariri Gado, Alhaji Saminu Garba Madaki commended Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje for his commitments towards people oriented projects.
The traditional ruler urged the state government to rehabilitate their old abandoned road project from Mariri to Juma in Kumbotso Local Government Area, as well as, repairs of some faulty transformers to enable their youths boost their local businesses.
