Edge Barbershop Trondheim: Anatomy Of Norway’s Biggest Barbing Salon

Businessman Jeffter Ohene Kwaah further boosted his entrepreneurial rating last week with the opening of the largest branch of his barbering franchise, Edge Barbershop Trondheim.
The new shop in central Norway is the third after the ones in Oslo and Lillestrom. It is by far the grandest of the barbershops, occupying a space of 280 square metres, which earned it the bragging right of being “the biggest barbershop in Norway.”

Beyond its size, the Edge Barbershop Trondheim has impressed patrons with its complementary services of a coffee lounge and grooming store, which have appealed to patrons of various ages and of varying tastes.
The new outlet has further boosted the growing reputation of the Edge Barbershop brand, which is known for having some global celebrities among its clientele. Indeed, the likes of Wyclef Jean, Rick Ross, Justin Bieber, and Sarkodie can be counted among the celebrity patrons of Edge Barbershop.

Although Jeffter Ohene Kwaah has been making silent waves as an entrepreneur, he came fully into the limelight on November 12 when the Trondheim shop was opened, and publicity for the barbershop reached a crescendo.

The Edge Barbershop CEO was a former footballer who once played for the Black Stars of Ghana in the under-20 age group competition. He played professional football at the Norwegian club, Strindheim TF. He is also known to have worked in the modelling industry and was, for three years, on the payroll of Surface Models Management of New York.
While he has a string of business enterprises to his name, he has, in the past three years, become synonymous with the Edge Barbershop brand, which he and his partner, Isaac Boadi, founded.

Kwaah, originally from Akyem Aduasa in Ghana, is a plumbing engineer by training, but his business acumen has overshadowed his footballing and plumbing careers.
