Experts to Brainstorm on Setup of Domestic Export Warehouse

The Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ACCI) is set to host a roundtable to brainstorm and analyse the progress and challenges of the domestic export warehouse in the country.

The roundtable organised by the National Chamber Policy Centre (NCPC) of ACCI will focus on the challenges as well as solution to further boost implementation of the domestic export warehouse programme in Nigeria.

The event which already have key stakeholders on board with the likes of Kaduna Inland Dry Port, Nigeria Port Authority, Nigerian Export Promotion Council, Nigeria Export Bank, Standard Organization of Nigeria and other key actors will review the policy implementation and access the bottlenecks of the export warehouse program.

You may recall recalled that the Nigerian Export Promotion Council (NEPC) Under the Federal Government’s Nigerian Economic Sustainability Plan (NESP) initiated the Export Expansion Facility Programme (EEFP) as its flagship project to actualize its Zero-Oil Plan which seeks to significantly grow Nigeria’s capacity in non-oil exports and provide a sustainable path to reducing dependence on crude oil revenues.

One of the key interventions of the EEFP is the creation of Domestic Export Warehouses (DEW) in 6 geo-political zones across the country to support the Nigerian Ports Authority.

The event which is billed to hold on Thursday 27th of January, is part of the Centre’s and the Chamber’s commitment to constantly seek ways in improving the ease of doing business for the business community through policy advocacy, research and awareness.
