APC G3 inaugurates S/South Exco’s, Coordinators

A Support Group, the All Progressives Congress Grassroots Governance Group APC G3 South-South chapter has been inaugurated with a charge to deepen grassroots democracy in the zone.

The charge was given by a member of the Board of Trustees of the group, High Chief (Prof.) Eyo Etim Nyong.

The inauguration in Calabar was attended by the Exco’s and all the State Coordinators from the six states in the South-South.

Prof. Nyong said people oriented democracy will attract victory for APC in the election. This he said would bring development closer to the people.

He said that there are lots of advantages having the Tinubu-Shettima ticket.

The father of the day at the occasion, Chief Akin Ricketts said the party has performed creditably in the last 7 years and deserve re-election.

The Obol Kepon and Village head of Obioko Village, Ijiman, Ugep in a message delivered by Hon Okpa Etaba charged APC G3 to maintain momentum by reaching out to the electorates in the zone.

He said the Tinubu-Shettima ticket if elected will deepen development in the country.

Earlier, the National Coordinator, APC G3, Hon. Amechi Chuks. Oyema said the group with structure across the 36 states of the federation is prepared to deliver about a million votes for Tinubu-Shettima ticket.

He lauded Gov. Ben Ayade for keeping the party strong in the zone.

Prof. Nyong was formally inaugurated as a BOT member at the event.

Chief Matthias Ake, the SSA to the Governor of Cross River State on Renewable and Alternative Energy, amongst other party leaders in the state attended the ceremony held at the Calabar Municipal Government Traditional Rulers Chambers.
