Kano State Governor, Doctor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje has predicted landslide victory for the All Progressive Congress (APC) in the 2023 general elections.
The Governor maintained that APC will keep its grip on power in Kano, while inaugurating the Gawuna/Garo Campaign Council at Sani Abacha Stadium Indoor Sports Hall.
According to him, the modest achievements recorded by his administration so far are more than enough reasons Kano people will massively vote APC into power come 2023.
He inaugurated various committees designed to work under the Council towards ensuring victory for the party’s gubernatorial candidate and the entire victory of the party in next year’s election.
Ganduje who described the event, which took place on Thursday, as historic, urged members of the campaign council and those of the committees to justify the confidence reposed in them by working hard to ensure the victory of the APC in the forthcoming elections.
He also used the occasion to announce two new campaign initiatives which would enable the APC to achieve a resounding victory in the 2023 elections.
He tasked members of the Council to penetrated the hinterlands and be ready to spend nights and days in remote Local Government Areas of the state to engage the people with a view to winning their votes.
Ganduje also urged the Campaign Council to establish Committees of women and engage them into taking the campaigns to various women groups across the state.
According to him, the APC governorship candidate, Dr.Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna and his running mate, Murtala Sule Garo, are saleable and well prepared to win the election.
In his remarks, Dr.Gawuna ,who is also the Deputy Governor of the State thanked Governor Ganduje for providing good leadership for the people of the state.
He pledged his continued loyalty and that of his running mate,Murtala Sule Garo,to the Governor,and also promised to consolidate on the good policies and programmes of the Ganduje Administration if voted as the next Governor and Deputy Governor of the state.
In his remarks,the State APC Chairman,Alhaji Abdullahi Abbas,expressed confidence in the ability of members of the campaign council to deliver the state to the party,come 2023 elections, citing their track records of performance.
Abbas also said that the APC would win all the elective positions in the state in the forthcoming elections because of the commendable performance of the Ganduje Administration, over the years.
The AUTHORITY reports that Ganduje is the Chairman of the campaign council,while Gawuna is the Deputy Chairman, with Garo as the Vice Chairman.
