AEDC attributes power outage in Abuja to 33kv feeder repairs

The Management of Abuja Electricity Distribution Plc, AEDC has attributed the power outage experienced in parts of the capital city of Abuja to the repairs on the 33kv NIPP feeder.

AEDC revealed this in a statement via its official Twitter handle on Thursday.

It listed the affected locations as: Dantata Estate, FO1, Chikakore, Byazhin, Byazhin Across, Gbazango and Military Pension Board.

The statement reads in parts; “Similarly, customers located at FCDA, Owner Occupier, Army Estate. Phase 3, Phase 4, 2.1, 22, Extension 2, Aso Garden Estate, Zenith Bank area, Dutse, Papas Ground, Karsana, Mona Apartment and its environs that the power outage is due to a fault on the 33kV Kubwa circuit breaker.

“We sincerely regret the inconvenience caused by these power outages, please be assured that all the relevant stakeholders are working relentlessly to ensure power supply is restored soonest.

“Thank you for your understanding and patience during this time,” it said.
