The APC Grassroots Governance Group APC G3 on Sunday said two recent interventions in the health sector by President Bola Tinubu show his love for ordinary Nigerians.
The APC G3 disclosed this in a press release by its National Coordinator, Amechi Chuks Oyema.
The Group said the interventions amongst several others is coming at a time some segments of the society are finding it financially difficult to access adequate healthcare.
According to the APC G3 “We are gladden to have a President who feels the pains of the downtrodden. The newly-launched National Health Fellows Programme (NHFP) and the subsidy on kidney dialysis for Nigerians in 11 hospitals, reducing the cost for Nigerians from N50,000 to N12,000 is the right way to go for any government that cares for the citizens.
“This two announcements within one week show President Tinubu is in touch with what is happening at the grassroots level.
“As a Grassroots oriented Group, APC G3 welcomes the interventions. We commend the President and his team for this gesture.
“APC G3 is very sure that very soon the current administration will turn around our health sector and reverse the trend of medical tourism.
“We urge Nigerians to be patient and continue to support the Tinubu administration in its bold efforts to turn around our country,” APC G3 added.
The kidney dialysis subsidy is being implemented across the six geopolitical zones at some federal medical institutions
