National Orientation Agency (NOA), Anambra State Directorate and Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka have explored grounds to strengthen their network on value re-orientation programmes in the university in particular and Anambra State in general.
This was brought to bear on Tuesday by the Vice-Chancellor of Nnamdi Azikiwe University, Awka , Prof. Ugbochukwu Bond Stanley Ayaehie while receiving in an audience the State Director, National Orientation Agency (NOA ) Barr Ifeoma Chijioke..
The Vice Chancellor, who thanked the NOA State Director, for the visit approved programmes on Value re-orientation for the agency, saying that the University shares similar value with NOA on nation building.
He also granted NOA opportunity to air some of their programmes on Unizik Radio, adding that they will not hesitate to invite the agency to talk to the students during their routine orientation programme.
In her address, the Anambra State Director, National Orientation Agency, (NOA), Barr Chijioke, said that time has come for Nigerians to pause and honestly interrogate the forces that shape the future of the country.
She noted that there is growing concern over the rising incidences of cyber crime, internet fraud, cultism, examination malpractice, drug abuse, violent crimes, corruption and other manifestations of moral decline among the youths.
“Our nation is blessed with an energetic youth population, abundant natural resources, immense intellectual capital, and limitless possibilities. Yet, despite these endowments, we have continued to grapple with challenges that threaten our social fabric and undermine our capital development,” she stressed.

Barr. Chijioke maintained that the agency places immense importance on promotion of national values such as integrity, patriotism, discipline, social justice and dignity of labor, noting that the challenge before Nigeria today is not merely a shortage of resources, but the erosion of the moral foundation upon which the societies are built
