Divisional Director, Marketing, at Marketing Edge Magazine, Anietie Udoh, has been appointed a member of the jury for the 8th edition of the TIBA Awards and Conference 2026, organised by The Iconic Brand Africa (TIBA).
His appointment was conveyed in a formal letter by the Founder of TIBA, Omobabinrin Osideko, who described the marketing executive’s experience, insights and professional credibility as valuable to the awards’ adjudication process.
The 2026 edition of the TIBA Awards and Conference is scheduled for November 14 in Lagos, when the organisers said the jury would be responsible for objectively assessing nominees across the various award categories and contributing to deliberations that will determine the eventual recipients.
The appointment comes as TIBA prepares for an edition centred on the theme, “Positioning for Influence, Leadership and Business Growth.” According to the organisers, the theme reflects the platform’s commitment to recognising individuals and organisations demonstrating excellence, innovation, leadership and measurable impact.
In the appointment letter, Osideko said TIBA was established to develop leaders, build influential brands and create platforms that promote excellence across Africa.
“Since its inception, the TIBA Awards has provided a platform for recognising outstanding individuals, professionals, entrepreneurs, organisations, and leaders whose work is creating meaningful impact across various sectors,” the letter stated.
Udoh’s inclusion on the jury is particularly significant given his professional positioning within Nigeria’s marketing and brand communications ecosystem. As Divisional Director of Marketing at Marketing Edge Magazine, he operates within a media platform focused on advertising, marketing, public relations, branding and the wider marketing communications industry.
His appointment therefore brings industry experience into a process designed to identify and celebrate individuals and organisations whose contributions extend beyond visibility to demonstrable influence and impact.
The 2026 TIBA Awards is the eighth edition of the initiative, which has positioned itself as a platform for celebrating excellence across different sectors while promoting leadership and brand development.
Moreover, the organisers said the jury selection was intended to strengthen the credibility of the awards by bringing experienced professionals into the evaluation and selection process.
Osideko expressed confidence that Udoh would “objectively assess nominees across the various categories, contribute meaningfully to deliberations, and support the selection of deserving recipients.”
She further described the jury’s responsibility as an opportunity to contribute to a platform dedicated to recognising and celebrating individuals and organisations “shaping Africa’s future.”
With the 2026 edition focused on influence, leadership and business growth, the event is expected to bring together professionals, entrepreneurs, business leaders, organisations and other stakeholders to celebrate the achievement and conversations around the forces shaping Africa’s business and leadership landscape.
Udoh’s appointment adds another layer of professional expertise to the adjudication of the 2026 awards and underscores the growing importance of credible industry voices in identifying and celebrating excellence.
