COVID -19: Niger gets 500 bags of rice 4000 masks, cloves as donations

The Niger state government says it has recieved donations of food, Face mask , hand gloves and sanitizers and from individuals and cooperate organisations so as to assist the less privileged ìn the various communities across the state due to the corona virus

The Secretary to the state government who is also the state task force chairman on COVID 19 stated that already the state has recieved 500 bag of rice, 4000 face masks and hand gloves as palliative

The donated materials which he said are ìn the state central store were donated by Former Excutive Director of the National Primary Health Care Development Agency (NPHDA), DR Ado Mohammed, a construction giant, Dantata&sawoe

According to him Dr Ado J donated 2000 face masks,2000 hand cloves and 2000 sanitizers including 20 bags of rice for his immediate community of Kwangila area of Minna while Dantata & sawoe donated 500 bags of rice and 1500 cartons of noodles

He maintained that the food items which the state government purchase have started arriving at local government headquarters and that the distribution would commence from next week.

Matane pointed out that, “the food items we procured are being supplied to the local governments. As you are aware, distribution will be at the Ward levels and we are ready to flag off the exercise in Chanchaga local government area before the week runs out”.

“The palliatives will get to the underprivileged persons in all the communities across the state and there will not be political or ethnic consideration in the distribution of the palliatives”.
