Kano Partners With US Firm To Develop Sports

Kano State Government has concluded plans to partner with the U.S. based Austin Educational Group International to develop sporting activities in the state.

The state Governor, Dr. Abdullahi Umar Ganduje represented by his Deputy, Dr.Nasiru Yusuf Gawuna who is also the President of the Youths Sports Federation of Nigeria gave the hint on Friday after a virtual meeting with representatives of the sporting firm.

Ganduje stated that the collaboration is coming at the right time when his administration has created a ministry to cater for sports and youths development in the state.

During the virtual meeting which was attended by the Commissioner for Sports and Youths Development, Kabiru Ado Lakwaya; Chairman Of Kano Sports Commission, Ibrahim Galadima; and Surajo Shu’aibu Chairman of Kano Pillars Football Club, the representatives of the Austin Educational Group International, disclosed their intention of forwarding a proposal for building a Sports Academy in Kano.
