Sen Ubah rocks Nnewi with massive empowerment of constituents

The Senator representing Anambra South senatorial district, Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah, on Saturday in Nnewi distributed mini busses, tricycles, motorcycles, sewing machines, standing fan and grading machines among others. 

Ubah, who conducted the National chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Alhaji Abdullahi Ganduje, round the empowerment equipment, urged beneficiaries to make use of them judiciously. 

He further stressed that it was time for the state to connect with the national level, adding that Anambra has stayed too long in opposition party. 

Sen Ubah assured that he would use his powers to ensure that smaller political parties in the state collapse their structures for APC. 

Gov. Francis Nwifuru of Ebonyi State, in his own speech said that they were solidly behind Anambra State, saying that the mammoth crowd present at the stadium was an indication that Anambra will be victorious under APC in the next election. 

Nwifuru, who was represented by his deputy governor, Patricia Obila, appealed to the beneficiaries of Sen. Ifeanyi Ubah empowerment programme to used the equipments to their own benefits. 

Gov. Hope Uzodinma of Imo state during the empowerment program, said that he was happy to be present at the event to witness the empowerment programme as part of efforts to ameliorate the suffering occasioned by the removal of the fuel subsidy. 

Uzodinma commended President Bola Tinubu for taking the bold steps in removing the fuel subsidy and also unifying the naira, saying that previous government had tried to take the bold step and failed. 

The APC national chairman, Ganduje on the occasion commended participants and beneficiaries of the empowerment for gracing the occasion, noting that issues of marginalisation and de-imagination in the region was discussed at the colloquium. 

He said that the mammoth crowd that turned up for empowerment programme was a symbol that the people have accepted to benefits from the “national grid”.
