Enugu LG polls – PDP intensifies campaigns to win Oji River

The Peoples Democratic Partyb(PDP) in Enugu state is not giving chances in its bid to win massively in the September 21st local government elections in the state.

The elections will be conducted in the 17 council areas and 260 electoral wards in the state, would produce 17 local government chairmen and 260 councillors.

Oji River Local Government area is one of the council areas,vwhere the party has commenced ‘ward-to-ward and door-to(door’ campaigns, with the chairmanship candidate of the PDP, Hon. Greg Anyaegbudike, Hon. John Okefi and several stalwarts of the party from the local government in the campaign train.

Speaking to newsmen when the campaign train stormed Oji Urban ward 4 on Tuesday September 10, Hon. John Okefi expressed optimism that PDP is the party to beat in the whole of Oji River local government.

He said in addition to the vigorous campaigns, the administration of Governor Peter Mbah is currently putting projects on ground in Oji River local government, which is endearing their people to love hin the more and vote for PDP.

He mentioned the Smart Schools and Type 2 hospital which is being constructed in the 20 wards of the council area, as great achievements so far.

His words, “The campaigns have been very peaceful,We are gong door-to-door, ward-to-ward’ in Oji River local government area.

“As a grassroot politician, Oji River ward 4 especially is for PDP. We shall continue to support Mbah and the in-coming chairman, Hon. Greg Anyaegbudike,in their progranes or projects that will enhance development of Oji River in all ramification.”
