Senator Ede Dafinone, representing Delta Central Senatorial District, has congratulated the newly elected national leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the party’s just-concluded 2026 National Convention held in Abuja.
In a statement issued after the convention, Senator Dafinone praised the emergence of Nentawe Goshwe Yilwatda as National Chairman, alongside other members of the National Working Committee (NWC), describing their election as a reflection of the confidence reposed in them to reposition and strengthen the ruling party.
“I warmly congratulate the newly elected National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yiwaltda, and members of the National Working Committee on their emergence. Their election reflects the confidence reposed in their ability to reposition and strengthen our party for the future,” he said.
The lawmaker, who was among thousands of party leaders and stakeholders present at Eagle Square, noted that the convention demonstrated the unity, resilience, and enduring strength of the APC. According to him, delegates from across the country gathered with a shared commitment to progress, stability, and national development.
Senator Dafinone also commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for his leadership, which he said continues to inspire confidence within the party and across the nation.
“I also commend the exemplary leadership of His Excellency, Bola Tinubu GCFR, whose steadfast commitment to reform, party cohesion, and national advancement continues to provide clear direction at all levels,” he stated.
Reaffirming his commitment to the party’s ideals, the senator expressed optimism about the APC’s future under its new leadership, stressing the need for continued collaboration among members.
“Together, we will continue to strengthen the APC and advance the cause of a more prosperous Nigeria,” he stated.
