AFAA moves to promote African intra-fashion trade

The African Fashion & Arts Award (AFAA) has begun moves to promote African trade and business relationships environment that will boost trading.

The Chief Executive Officer of AFAA, Kingsley Amako said there is an upcoming programme that will redirect the mind set of those  in the fashion industry to excel.

He said the event is targeted at local and foreign participants on how best to implore modern technology in carrying out the trade 

In a statement issued at the weekend, said  local and Foreign Government Officials, Diplomatic communities, Commissions, MDA’s, Foreign Brand Reps, Foreign Language centers, Investors, Art collectors and Fashion enthusiasts are to key into the initiative birthed by REXENUM CONSULTS, an end to end Events and Lifestyle firm.

It explained that the AFAA 2022 is a 3-Day engaging events set to hold from 23rd to 25th September 2022, in the nation’s capital, Abuja 

Amako while noting that 

research have shown that over 60% of the world population is made up of the youth, said AFAA is an initiative designed to harness the inherent talents of the average African youth with regards to fashion and Arts. 

He added that the initiative seeks to use fashion and Arts which is all encompassing as a driving tool for economic development, while creating opportunities and platforms for emerging fashion entrepreneurs, Musicians, Creative Visual Artists, models, Actors, Painters, Sculptors, Writers, Poets and Podcasters etc.

According to him, activities lined up for the 2022 AFAA project in masterclass/Workshop by leading industry experts; A-2 day generally discounted Vendor fair for display and sales by over 100 vendors to more than 5000 free walking in potential customers and buyers.

He added that others are: “A cocktail Party / Meet & Greet for networking and collaborative opportunities, and main event (AFAA Award Show) where those who have pioneered and achieved notable success in revolutionizing the fashion & Arts Industry would be honoured.

“We have and would continue to extend invitations across Africa to all Fashion Designers, Visual Artists, poets, Painters, Photographers, Writers, Media Hosts, Musicians, Movie Producers as well as vendors in Hair Care, Skin Care, Cosmetics, Fabric brands, Shoes and Bags, Accessory & Jewelry brands etc.

“Nigeria as the host Nation is the Giant of Africa and a hub for African Business and creativity. The fashion & Arts Sector is a vital and generally accepted sector with interest from every culture and race in the world”, he stressed.
