Faduri Oluwadare Joseph, widely known as Fadojoe, has officially declared his intention to contest the 2027 presidential election under the National Rescue Movement (NRM).
The U.S.-based nurse and entrepreneur said Nigeria is at a critical crossroads, citing economic decline, insecurity, youth unemployment, and currency instability as urgent concerns.
A native of Ipetu-Ijesha, Osun State, Fadojoe studied Sociology at Ambrose Alli University before relocating to the United States, where he became a licensed nurse in New York and later founded F Planet Group USA.
In his declaration speech, he invoked the legacy of Nigeria’s independence-era leaders, including Nnamdi Azikiwe and Obafemi Awolowo, saying their republican ideals have been eroded.
He criticized vote-buying practices and what he described as the commercialization of elections, noting that while other nations focus on artificial intelligence and innovation, Nigeria remains trapped in basic political inducements.
Fadojoe revealed he previously aligned with the Labour Party during the 2023 election cycle and supported Peter Obi before stepping aside.
If elected president, he pledged to; stabilize the economy and strengthen the naira, revive local refining capacity,
make education compulsory at primary and secondary levels, reform the security architecture, pgrade hospitals and restrict foreign medical trips for public officials
Promote local production and manufacturing.
Running on the honeybee symbol of the NRM, Fadojoe described his candidacy as a “people versus political class” movement ahead of 2027.
