By Daniel Tyokua

The Bankers’ committee led by the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has handed over block of classrooms it renovated to LEA Primary School, at FHA Lugbe, in Abuja Municipal Area Council (AMAC).

A statement on Thursday by media aide to AMAC chairman, Kingsley Madaki, described the support as a major boost for grassroots education.

It said the project is executed under the Committee’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, designed to provide a world-class learning environment for pupils within the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The chairman of AMAC, Christopher Maikalangu represented by the Council Secretary, Hon. Jafaru Gwagwa, received the project on behalf of the council.

Maikalangu praised CBN and the banking sector for their commitment to human capital development.

The statement reads, “This intervention by the Bankers’ Committee is a shining example of how corporate synergy can drive the Renewed Hope Agenda,” Hon. Gwagwa stated.

“By upgrading these facilities, you are not just painting walls; you are building the future of our children in AMAC.”

The renovation included total structural overhauls, new roofing, and modern classroom furniture.

The event concluded with a ceremonial tour of the facility, with community leaders and school management hailing the project as a vital contribution to the development of the Lugbe district.
