Transformation: Experts stress training to aid self discovery, development Training

Transformation experts on Tuesday, stressed the training of the individual person as key to help people discover self and to ignite in people a transformative mind set within their environmental.

The experts, facilitators from the South-African based Training for Transformation (TNT) Foundation made the assertion at a workshop the organisation held at Festac, Lagos State.

The first phase recruits people for leadership and transformation training to be carried out at Owo, Ondo, while the second phase, a skill acquisition trains people in areas such as produce preservation, processing and packing for commercial.

Its graduates get start up kits to enable them establish in their chosen areas and be self actualised.

That, the workshop to sensitise people on the work of the foundation and to enlist people for its forthcoming training that focused on environmental economy, attitudes toward societal consciousness to liberate minds.

Speaking at the event, the Lead Facilitator, Ms Talent Nthambi, said that TNT is a community rehabilitation programme that aimed to educate and provide the best social environment for the individuals through activities that enhances the mind, body and spirit.

According to her Africa is blessed with resources to cater for its people and the world but the lack of certain frame of minds has made the continent relegated to the background in development among comity of nations.

“Hunger is prevalent in the society because people lack the knowledge to exploit their environment and make informed choices that can foster the common good,” she said.

Ms Ese Ajuyah, another facilitator, said that, the transformation training, taliored to make people changed agents, appealed to peoples’ inner power to do things right and to stir positive reform in the society where such is in need.

The Founder of the Sisters City, Owo, Ondo, Mrs Olutosin Adebowale, a beneficiary of the TNT training, said transformation is a process and not a project. It has to be constantly updated to suit the times.

“TNT trains people to begin with solutions to issues at the family unit, such as domestic violence, bulling and cultural inhibitions that deprived people especially women rights.

“After that the community phase try to raise conversations within informed nucleus to identify structures that hinders societal progress together deal with such, then through regularl public conscitasation bring to the fore matters of public concerns then proffer needed solutions.
